As a Naval Officer with over 20 years’ experience in the Royal Australian Navy Neville gained extensive leadership and management skills as a result of a number of high-ranking appointments, mostly in the operations arena. These appointments placed Neville in management positions accountable for leading, managing and coaching teams and individuals in extremely dynamic operational environments, including warship command. Prominent shore positions included director of a career management directorate leading a team of over sixty-five people and budget in excess of $26 million.
Furthering his knowledge Neville also completed a Masters of Business Administration. This postgraduate qualification enhanced his significant leadership and management expertise with the latest best practice theory and techniques in general, project, change and operations leadership and management. Neville’s relevant experience and postgraduate education led him to create his own management consultancy and partner with Empower Change Consulting.
